One of the country’s renowned education activist, Kisa Kumwenda, who is the Program Manager at Civil Society Education Coalition, made the remarks during the graduation ceremony for some of the beneficiaries of NBM Plc scholarship from Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS) on Wednesday, 12th April, 2022 at Chancellor College of Malawi Great Hall.

On Wednesday the 30th of March 2022, National Bank of Malawi plc, led by its Digital & Financial Services Department (DFS), organized a dinner in Blantyre at Protea Hotel Ryalls to provide a platform to discuss challenges in digital inclusion.
According to the NBM plc Head of Digital Banking Services William Kaunda, the institution will continue to go an extra mile in ensuring accessibility of its digital services to all its customers by taking time to address and clarify some of the misconceptions concerning digital banking solutions mostly caused by financial illiteracy.

Farmers Union of Malawi (FUM) has applauded National Bank of Malawi for engaging farmers in the central region for enhanced financial inclusion across the country.
The FUM Agribusiness coordinator, Roudolf Binga made the remarks during a meeting with farmers hosted by National Bank of Malawi in Lilongwe at City Centre Branch on Thursday, April 7th, 2022.
“The interaction between the farmers and NBM plc is very crucial as farmers have been having facing challenges in accessing financial services. With this meeting, the bank has cleared all the misconceptions that the farmers initially had that bank is only for the elite,” Said Binga.

National Bank of Malawi (NBM) Plc has awarded Innovations Jam Winner: LINQ Finances and Noble Agriculture technology for their great innovations presented in the Innovations Jam competition.
The two winners scooped MWK2,300,000.00 and an all-expenses paid international trip to attend the SA Innovation Summit expo happening this year from 27th to 29th September, 2022.
During the prize presentation held at Latitude Hotel in Lilongwe on April 4, 2022, NBM plc Lilongwe service Centre Manager Mr. Eric Bob Munthali said National Bank of Malawi fully understands and appreciates the pivotal role that innovations and technology play in Malawi’s developmental agenda. He disclosed that the bank will continue supporting the innovators across the country.

The Association of Vendors in Blantyre has applauded one of the the country’s leading banks, National Bank of Malawi (NBM) Plc for introducing new digital financial customer services which is helping its clients to make transactions in a smooth manner that is improving time management.
The vendors disclosed this on Wednesday during a dinner organized by the bank at its Head Offices in Blantyre, where the association’s chairperson, Martin Matchindu revealed because most Blantyre and Limbe based traders were not able to assist customers who are requesting to transact through mobile banking and e-wallets.

The ICT Association of Malawi (ICTAM) has commended National Bank of Malawi for its efforts in leading the digital inclusion of financial services in the country.
ICTAM President Bram Fudzulani disclosed this during a dinner hosted by NBM, where the bank engaged various stakeholders to seek feedback on their digital coverage and performance and also update them on their continued efforts to improve their efforts.

The traders enjoyed a tour of the bank’s departments at the Head Office as well as Top Mandala Branch followed by a cocktail with the bank’s senior managers.
Through the tour, the traders learned more about the role of the bank in the country’s development as well as financing products available for them.
